Fairytales and Sketches

Our Fairytales and Sketches Tour brings the magic of theatre into both primary and secondary schools across Italy, inspiring students to learn English through watching exciting full-scale productions.

This tour is ideal for actors looking for an opportunity to perform abroad and develop their theatrical skills whilst taking on the rewarding challenge of working with ESL students. We are running three tours in 2026, with four actors on each tour.

As an actor on board our Fairytales and Sketches tour, you’ll spend three weeks in Sanremo rehearsing with our creative and didactic team, as well as the other tour groups to prepare the repertoire you’ll perform in the schools. You’ll also learn how to run a workshop and teach games and songs to Italian students.

Repertoire:

3 Fairytales:

For primary schools, actors perform whimsical fairytales for different age groups.

Peter Rabbit: CEFR Pre-A1. For ages 6-7 years old
Emilo’s Emotions: CEFR A1. For ages 7-9 years old
The Wizard of Oz: CEFR A1/A2. For ages 9-11 years old

6 Sketches:

For secondary schools, actors perform combinations of original comedic sketches. Each combination is adapted to the grammar level of the students.

Treasure Trouble: CEFR A1/A2
How Do You Say: CEFR A1/2
So You Think You Can Dance: CEFR A1/2
Galactic Green Team: CEFR A2
Fortune Fails: CEFR A2
Hashtag Help: CEFR A2/B1

Each show is followed by a workshop. The actors split the audience into smaller groups and run 30 minute workshops which include games, songs and activities relating to the didactic element of the show. Each actor will work with around 20 – 30 students in each workshop. All workshops are part of the repertoire and are prepared for you.
