Sophia is EDUCO’s operations manager. A Canadian/Italian citizen, she has worked in the education non-profit sector for over a decade as an educator, international recruiter and national program coordinator. She holds a Masters in International HR from Rome Business School, a BA in Journalism from Concordia University & TEFL certification from the University of Toronto.
Since joining EDUCO in 2015 she has recruited over 1500 educators to participate in the organisation’s largest national project - their TEFL through Performance & Play course - held in hundreds of summer camps across the country annually, and exposing thousands of Italian children to the joy of learning English through songs, games and drama based activities.
In addition, she has created several international teacher courses in Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland and Canada, as well as an Italian cultural program based in Liguria.
She feels passionately about recruiting talented educators and connecting them with opportunities to teach and travel in Italy.
